Karen Bengali ( Kama Sutra ) came to North America with a couple dollars in her pocket and a dream.

Her dream was to become a superstar and follow in the footsteps of other famous rappers she looked up to as a kid.

She moved in with her uncle for a while and decided to get a job to help him out with rent and groceries until she got a place of her own. All the while she was trying to get a signed.

She started working as a waitress at a club owned by a street gang known as The Mystic Bloods ( Zig Zag's crew )

There she developed a friendship with one of the dancers (Lexy)

She entered Kama into a $inCity Records sponsored rap battle. The winner of the tournament would receive a cash prize and recording contract.

Kama won the tournament and soon after inked her deal with the label.

The next couple of months were spent locked in the studio with the Grammy award winning producer The Beat Demon out came her debut album when the smoke cleared.

The album is def a pop album with bars here and there to still be considered a rap album.

It shot up the charts quickly and is responsible her currently being talked about as the best new artist .

Because everything is happening so fast for Kama right now it's hard to stay grounded and to concentrate on the things and people that matter. Lexy is a big part of keeping her grounded and down to earth.

Most people refer to the pink princess as Kama Sutra now. Only a select few still call her Karen. Lexy is one of them.

It was Kama's manager ( Nessa ) who introduced her to Blake

Nessa thought it would be a good look for Kama to be romantically

linked to a good looking movie star. Even if it what they felt for each other wasn't real and just a show put on for the cameras and fans.

Kama is still wet behind the ears when it comes to the music industry and inner workings of how things go, but when it comes to

the music and what she does with it. That type of thing can't be

taught. It's either you have it or you don't...she has it.

Kama Sutra wears the red gold rosary chain and was the 3rd to sign with the label.
